IOP Non-linear and Complex Physics Group Summer Meeting 2013

The summer meeting of the Institute of Physics (UK) Non-linear and Complex Physics Group was held at St Hilda’s College, Oxford. Thankfully it was a sunny day that passed for summer. A stimulating diversity of topics to say the least, ranging from the physics of hair in ponytails by the keynote speaker Robin Ball (winner of the 2012 Ig Nobel Prize in Physics) to bacterial biofilms and financial physics.
